We have currently have openings for volunteers for the following:

  • Building a beaver hide on the lake.
  • Creating educational material for visitors to the Trust.
  • Surveying amphibians and reptiles.
  • Surveying bats.
  • Small mammal surveys.
  • Surveying moths and insects.
  • Sub-aquatic re-wilding of a lake.
  • Creating a new 8 acre predator fenced reserve area for beavers, water voles and red squirrels.
  • Later in the summer, if our beaver programme goes ahead on schedule, we will need volunteers to help with beaver releases and monitoring.
  • In the autumn we need help collecting tree seeds and working in the tree nursery, and then planting out trees.

If you are undertaking an undergraduate or post-grad project, we have staff available to supervise you, co-ordinating with your university supervisor.
We can provide accommodation in yurts, together with separate toilet, shower and laundry facilities, some office space and radio broadband.
